Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee has taken a great initiative by conducting the Bharat Singh Endowment Lecture Series. The Department of Hydrology (DoH) organised its inaugural lecture of the series on February 06, 2020. The lecture was delivered by Prof. K. Subramanya, Former Professor Civil Eng., IIT Kanpur on "Interesting Experiences in Practical Works related to Water Resources". The lecture was graced by the presence of institute director Dr A. K. Chaturvedi and Dr. Sharad K Jain, Director NIH along with departmental faculties Prof. M. K. Jain., Prof. Himanshu Joshi, Prof. M. Permual, Prof. N. K. Goel, Prof Brijesh Yadav, Prof. Sumit Sen, Prof. Ankit Agarwal. Prof. K. Subramanya shared his experiences and challenges faced by engineers, hydrologists, and experts while working on river water sharing tribunals and other projects involving interstate(s) disputes. The lecture was engaging and enlightening for the audience. The lecture was concluded with questions from students/scholars followed by thanks giving note by Prof. M. K. Jain , Head DoH.
